The Adult Nursing Branch at the College of Nursing, University of Al-Muthanna, aspires to occupy a leading position among all the various scientific branches in universities, in line with the requirements of the labor market.

The Adult Nursing branch aims to graduate professionally distinguished nursing cadres, to provide comprehensive nursing care based on advanced scientific practice, and which relies on a critical thinking approach based on science and skill.
general goal:
Providing students with the foundations of knowledge, skills and necessary behaviors that enable them to apply the principles and concepts of adult nursing in various nursing situations and to identify the actual problems of patients.
strategic goals:
1- Qualifying students to provide distinguished and highly efficient nursing care for patients, in accordance with ethical and behavioral values.
2- Qualifying students to provide distinguished nursing services, through planning and implementing nursing care plans.
3- Educating students about the problems facing the nursing profession, analyzing them and contributing to solving them to advance the profession.
4- Strengthening the culture of self-learning among students.
5- Contribute to improving and upgrading the health level of the individual and society through community participation.
6- Participation in community activities that contribute to solving community problems and developing the environment by participating in medical convoys and blood donation campaigns ... and others.
7- Providing health education services for patients and non-patients.
8- Rehabilitation of students to work with members of the health team to provide integrated health care for patients.
9- Keeping abreast of scientific development in the field of nursing and continuing health education.
10- Faculty members conduct scientific research in the field of adult nursing while encouraging students to participate.
11- Developing the skills of the faculty members in the department by participating in regional and international symposiums and conferences and encouraging international publication of research.
12- Strengthening the quality system in the branch.
