This branch specializes in the teaching of pediatric nursing and maternal, neonate nursing in the third school stage in a one-semester system, where students are introduced to the characteristics of healthy growth and development. He learned how to provide nursing care to sick children in children's hospitals, as well as the students' interest in the preventive measures that must be followed to maintain the health of children. This subject is taught in two parts: theoretical and at a rate of (3) hours per week, and practical and clinical at the rate of (8) hours per week in the laboratories of the college and children's hospitals located in the city of Samawah.
Branch objectives
The branch aims to graduate students with knowledge and skills in how to deal with healthy and sick children in the various health institutions that care for the child. It provides students with scientific information related to the growth and development of children through the different stages of life, updating scientific information on pediatric diseases and how to deal with them from a nursing point of view, including physical, psychological, and social care and care.

The branch provides scientific expertise to many health institutions related to child care, as well as providing scientific advice through membership of scientific committees and conferences held by the Ministry of Health and its related health institutions, nurseries and kindergartens in the governorate.
