The College of Nursing presents a workshop entitled:

Dr. Russell Yahya present the workshop, where the workshop preached about heavy metals and various food additives, which are present in imported cosmetics, as well as the effect of these food additives such as industrial colorings and others on vital organs. The lecture touched on chemical elements whose density is more than five times the density of water, including (lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic) that have negative effects on human public health.
The workshop also touched on the sources of heavy metals, their transport methods to the body, and the permissible percentages, in addition to the toxicity of these metals in the event of an increase in their concentration rates in humans, as they accumulate and store very quickly, as well as their interaction with proteins of amines, carboxylic acids and thiols found in vital organs, and lead to the destruction of cells and changing their shape. and its properties.
The workshop recommended avoiding the use of some manufactured foods and imported cosmetics, especially from countries whose exported products are not under quality control and which may be contaminated with lead, which is considered a carcinogen and is unfit for human use.
